Récits du voyage d’intégration : les aventures de quatre élèves de 6ème 9 à Oualidia
Hello ! We are Aya, Lou-Anne, Ines and Victor. We have made this blog about Oualidia because we wanted to share a few moments we spent with the 6e9, the 6e6 and the 6e5. This Oualidia trip is a tradition for the 6emes in Descartes High School. We hope you enjoy reading as much as we enjoyed this trip !
Day 1
When we arrived it was already 2 p.m. The instructors in Oualidia told us to come and sit to explain how it was going to work. We couldn’t eat in our tents and no screens were allowed. Then we had to choose our tents. Once we did, we changed into our swimming suits. My group had to climb up the wooden staircase to go and work geography with Mrs. Souali, while the other group went surfing. Then we switched, we had to go surfing while the other group worked. It was so fun! I was helped by one of the surf instructors . I could stand on the surfboard on my first try! It was way easier than I thought. After that, we climbed up the wooden staircase again to eat dinner. It was soup and eggs for me because I’m allergic to gluten which is in flour. When everybody finally finished,it was 8 p.m, everybody went downstairs to take a shower. At about 10 o’clock we brushed our teeth. After such an amazing day we went to bed.
Day 2
When we woke up, we headed to the bathroom to get ready for the day and to brush our teeth, wash our hands etc…
At about 8:00 am, the instructors called us to go and eat breakfast upstairs.
Afterwards, we got ready to go to the beach to meet some fishermen.
When we arrived there, we took notes about what the teacher was telling us and then an hour and a half later we headed back to Surfland. We had a geography lesson, then we went to the beach to surf. An hour later, we went back to the clubhouse, took our shower, got dressed in our pajamas and ate dinner. We then had 3 quarters of an hour to play and chat with our friends. The curfew was at 9:00 pm, so when it was time we went to sleep.
Day 3
On the third day, everybody was already up at 7 a.m . We ate breakfast in the dining room and after this, all of the students had to get ready for a walk. At 9 a.m we all started walking. We made many stops. Two of them were about geography and there was one about science. We all studied about oysters and we learnt about their development with the science teacher. When we all came back to Surfland, everybody ate . After lunch, a group stayed at Surfland to study pollution and geography . The other group went to the beach , to do some surfing . At 4:30 p.m we switched and the other group came back to study while we went surfing. We surfed for approximately 2 hours . At 6:30 p.m we came back from the beach and then we took a shower. Everybody got ready for the party . We ate dinner and we all went to the party . We danced for 1 hour and then all of the students went to sleep in their tents.
Day 4
We woke up at 7:30.a.m. Then, we ate breakfast at 8:00.a.m. After, we went surfing while the other group was working and then we switched. It was awesome! At low tide, we went walking to the surfing area, but at high tide, we were taken to the spot in a little boat. Then, we worked and went in our tents to clean it and put our luggage in the bus. After, we ate french fries with meatballs. Then (at 12:30) we went in the bus, heading home.We played and we had fun! When we arrived at Descartes high school, we were all happy to see our parents but we had a lot of fun!
